We are working with the Tigray regional education bureau to source a school in need. From this department: “I would like to appreciate your commitment to help the education system of our region which is at critical crisis due to the devastating war and followed by the drought in the region. We have a huge gap but we welcome anybody who is ready to help us regardless of amount level. so, it is my pleasure to share with you anything you need”.
Our goal is to help fund the rebuilding of a school that was severely damaged during the war (2020-2022) so that children can return to fully functioning school. The need is severe and critical. Despite the conclusion of a bitter war, many children remain out of school because many infrastructures were several damaged or destroyed and children remain displaced.
PPC in earlier years was pleased to be able to completely refurbish two schools using local contractors and materials and this is what we are pledging to do again.
To meet new challenges, our goal is to provide a school with renovation costs/desks/chairs/books/black boards as well as pencil cases and sanitary pad kits for girls.
