Although we address many other material needs of students and resources for schools, donating pencil cases to children in need was how Project Pencil Case began back in 2009 and is what we continue today…..
PPC pencil cases are produced in Addis Ababa today by social enterprise partner Arakele College “A Social Enterprise; Helping Ethiopian Women Improve their Lives and Create Sustainable Opportunities“
Because Ethiopia is far away and shipping costs are high, we prefer to receive the funds and in addition to the pencil cases being locally produced, we source the pencil case contents locally which also helps support the local economy,
The cost for one pencil case with contents for a child in Ethiopia costs only 8 gbp 9 Euros or 10 usd
Pencil Case contents include these basic items: 2 Pencils, 2 Pens, 2 Ruler, 1 Eraser, 1 Sharpener
